Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Albany, New York

Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Albany, New York. This role involves handling a variety of tasks related to credit processing and management. The job function will span across different tasks like coding and sorting invoices, interacting with project managers, handling phone calls and mail, and using specific software for task management.

Responsibilities:

• Coding, sorting, and entering invoices into the system with precision

• Interacting with project managers to get required sign-offs

• Handling mail and phone call inquiries related to credit processing

• Leveraging Microsoft Excel for various data processing tasks

• Using Viewpoint software for task management (training will be provided)

• Demonstrating a high level of attention to detail in all tasks

• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintaining precise customer credit records

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Resolving customer credit inquiries promptly and effectively.

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Proven experience in the role of an Accounts Payable Clerk or a similar position.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Strong knowledge and experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP).

• Ability to code invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

• Knowledge of accounting software and databases.

• Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
