Job Overview

The Behavioral Health Clinician Non-Licensed is responsible for direct patient care and safety including diagnostic, assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for children, adolescents, and their families in Outpatient, Inpatient or Emergency Department settings.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field. EXPERIENCE: No professional level experience; must have completed graduate school field placements CERTIFICATION(S): Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification LICENSURE: Eligibility for Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker to be earned within 1.5 years of hire; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employme For positions that have been defined and are governed by the Children's Hospital Colorado Medical Staff bylaws, continuation of employment is contingent upon the review and approval of the Colorado Health Care Professionals Credential Application within 3 months of employment. Failure to successfully pass the credentialing process may result in the termination of your employment. Such positions include: Advanced Practice Providers, licensed professional counselors, or Adjunct Medical Staff.

Under the supervision of an identified licensed Behavioral Health Clinician Provides direct patient care and management of children and adolescents by developing and implementing treatment and intervention plans and conducting needs assessment to gather patient information. Provides crisis intervention to families and provides interventions with families to support discharge to home and stabilization.Also develops a therapeutic relationship with patients and families to assist with psychological problems. Completes diagnostic behavioral health assessments for treatment or crisis intervention.Compiles and analyzes data and prepares case records,
