Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Aurora, Ohio. Working in the wholesale distribution industry, this role involves resolving discrepancies and vendor disputes, processing invoices, and providing data as requested by auditors, among other responsibilities. This position is based 100% on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve discrepancies and vendor disputes promptly and efficiently

• Process vendor invoices accurately, adhering to established procedures

• Perform general ledger coding for expense reports and daily entries

• Distribute accounts payable bills and invoices in a timely manner

• Document all accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate record keeping

• Utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and MS Excel software to manage and analyze data

• Maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Use your skills in accounts payable, resolving discrepancies, and resolving disputes to ensure smooth operations

• Provide data as requested by auditors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar position

• Proficiency in MS Excel and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Demonstrated skills in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Proven ability to resolve discrepancies and disputes effectively

• Experience in processing vendor invoices accurately and timely

• Familiarity with General Ledger procedures and operations

• Ability to code invoices correctly and efficiently

• Experience in managing and processing expense reports

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Must possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Accounts Payable.
