FirstService Residential Communication Manager in Ave Maria, Florida

Job Overview:Â Â

As aCommunicationsManager you will promote a positive image of the Ave Maria community,utilizingcommunication tools and programs supporting interaction between the Ave Maria Master Association, the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District and the Ave Maria Development teams and the residents throughout the Ave Maria communities as one brand voice. This position will create and implement an overall communications strategyutilizingall communications channels and tools for the Ave Maria Master Association and the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District. Utilizing such tools as the community websites, social media platforms, email communication channels, sponsorship management, third-party digital payment software, and all print collateral. In addition,it servesas the primary liaison between multiple internal and external groups to ensure communication clarity of community goals and quality.ÂÂ

Your Responsibilities:Â Â

  • Coordinate and manage all community websites,designand development projects, including new feature development in collaboration with approved resident app, while overseeing vendors for communication strategies, print collateral, and digital platforms.ÂÂ
  • Manage the budget and provide forecasting for all technology and communications expenditures.ÂÂ
  • Ensure communications, visual collateral, and vehicles align with Ave Maria’s unique culture and marketing efforts while fosteringsynergybetween Ave Maria Master Association, Ave Maria Stewardship Community District and Ave Maria Development to support the community.ÂÂ
  • Prepare and present website, app, and social media analytical reports to the Boards of Directors and/or Amenity Committee.ÂÂ
  • Manage and provide oversight of all system distribution list management, including physical and digital communications forms in compliance with State and Federal law, to ensureaccuratedistribution lists for all communication channels, including website, app, and email. ÂÂ
  • Develop and produce regularly scheduled technical training and support workshops for residents to enhance digital literacy among residentsregardingcommunity communication channels.ÂÂ
  • Create and coordinate a website and App system backup process/plan.ÂÂ
  • Develop and implement user training materials for community websites and App.ÂÂ
  • Coordinate with Ave Maria Master Association, the Ave Maria Stewardship Community District and Ave Maria Development for internal resident promotions based on company initiatives.ÂÂ
  • Update and manage the Ave Maria Master Association website.ÂÂ
  • Manage andmaintainaccuratedistribution lists, communication scheduling, and payment processing for community sponsorship programs, as needed. ÂÂ
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to design, update, andmaintainwebsite content, including social networking sites, whileestablishingand managing social media brand guidelines, content calendaring, and moderation across channels.ÂÂ
  • Strategize and execute brand crossover and co-branding opportunities for Ave Maria partners, programmers, and external entities. ÂÂ
  • Cross-train the staff and provide ongoing support for internal training on the community website.ÂÂ
  • Management and coordination of all Survey Monkey content, and other resident surveys and focus groups.ÂÂ
  • Create and manage a Communications Content Calendar and serve as the chief editor of respective content for regularly scheduled email blasts and other electronic communication with residents.Â

Skills & Qualifications:Â Â

  • 5+ years’ experience with project management, website implementation, communication plan execution, written media releases, and/or customer service, content creation.ÂÂ
  • 3+ years’ experience with pre-production and printing for news magazines or comparable digital publications.ÂÂ
  • 3+ years’ experience working with content management systems (CMS).ÂÂ
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in design, image processing, and production software, including Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher).ÂÂ
  • 3+ years’ experience working with mobile/web app development programming languages, such as HTML/CSS, JSON, Joomla, or Ruby on Rails.ÂÂ
  • Demonstrated experience handling multiple content formats (text, images, video, and audio).ÂÂ
  • Demonstrated ability toidentifyand correct cross-browser display issues such as IE, Safari, Firefox, etc.ÂÂ
  • Demonstrated ability to maximize the use of social media platforms.ÂÂ
  • Knowledge and ability to ensure search engine optimization.ÂÂ
  • Knowledge and experience with information architecture sensibility (navigation).ÂÂ
  • Knowledge and experience researching technologies, alternate media, and applications to enhance communication and maximize users.ÂÂ
  • Demonstrated experience with desktop support for a small office environment (on-site backup to IT).ÂÂ
  • College degree with an emphasis in communications and marketing preferred.Â
