Maintains the equipment and their storage areas. Supervises employees in their daily activities.

Job Description:

​3. Department Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the coordination and supervision of the attendants

  • Assigns attendants to daily and weekly tasks as determined by manager and coordinator.

  • Coordinates the activities of the attendants

  • Holds attendants accountable for following hospital and unit policies

  • Reports any issues to manager on daily basis

  • Exhibits fair and equal treatment towards all employees when assigning tasks and activities.

B. Maintains all storage areas

  • Create and maintain specific areas for equipment to be stored

  • Responsible for the organization of storerooms

  • Inspects the equipment on a daily or weekly basis and notifies clinical engineering of problems

  • Notifies team leaders when equipment needs repair

  • Follows through on repairs

  • Reports any major problems to manager

C. Inventories special order supplies in the storeroom according to set schedule.

  • Orders replenishments to bring inventory back to par levels

  • Works with team leaders to adjust par levels as needed

  • Notifies manager of any backorders

  • Restocks supply carts throughout the OR

  1. Performs other related duties as required.

  2. Attends annual safety review.

  3. Plans time away from work appropriately:

  • Arrives and leaves at designated times.

  • Uses unplanned earned time appropriately.
