Citigroup Vice President, Banker in Chiyoda, Japan

Inbound Corporate Baker to manage 50+ Large Multi-National Corporate relationships in Japan.

The Banker is a senior level professional responsible for driving the planning of relationship strategies and solutions in coordination with the product teams. The overall objective of this role is to actively call clients and drive the business and revenue by cross selling the Citi platform while efficiently deploying the firm's capital and evaluating and managing risk.

In this role, you’re expected to:

  • Partner with Parent Account Managers / Regional Account Managers to build / keep good relationship with clients.

  • Proactively call clients to find and pursue business opportunities

  • Collaborate well with internal stakeholders / product partners to provide meaningful solutions with clients

  • Appropriately find risks around our business and comply with the internal rules as well as external rules / guidance from regulators

  • Communicate well with our team and share your knowledges and expertise with junior bankers for their growth.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Sound understanding of the Corporate Banking business and its related products, pertinent regulations affecting it and the lending and credit approval process

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning, negotiation, organizational and analytical skills

  • Experience with corporate clients, credit handling, cash management, trade products

  • Japanese: Fluent, English: Business level

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, master’s degree preferred
