About the Role

Turtle is seeking a Sustainability Analyst to join the Director of Sustainability & Social Impact in building out annual reporting, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) data infrastructure, and embedding sustainable initiatives across the organization. We are currently underway expanding our internal and external ESG reporting, as well as our customer-facing sustainable solutions. Turtle is a company based in entrepreneurial spirit and is constantly innovating and collaborating with climate tech partners on their go-to-market strategies. We are seeking an ESG Analyst in order to support our rapidly evolving commitment to transparency and innovation.

The successful candidate will work with the Director of Sustainability & Social Impact developing and carrying out key ESG strategies and initiatives and serve as the secondary in-house expert on ESG data governance, using your technical skills to design data architecture that generates actionable insights. Drawing from project management experience, you will adeptly lead cross-functional teams to implement data-focused solutions that strengthen ESG disclosures. An innovative self-starter, you will employ your strengths in analytical problem-solving and process improvement to elevate our ESG capabilities.

What Youll Do:

Conducting assessments to identify ESG data gaps and devise innovative data solutions to address those gaps. Recommend and implement new processes for improved ESG data collection and governance.
Oversee ESG data quality and integrity through rigorous control procedures, upholding high standards for 
both internal reporting and external disclosures. Foster strong working relationships throughout internal 
departments to promote accurate sustainability data collection company wide.
Integrating ESG data into existing systems and enhancing processes. Analyze current data 
architecture/sources and integrate ESG data needs, identifying process improvement opportunities. Design and manage workflow configurations to support critical functions like external reporting and worklist management.
Creating compelling data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Tableau to communicate insights for both leadership and external stakeholders.
Building an ESG subject matter expertise and technical skills to generate premium content. Stay informed about sustainability frameworks and trends that support strategy & reporting including SASB, GRI, SBTi, CDP
Collaborating with cross-functional partners and regional teams, including internal teams (procurement, operations, legal, HR, etc.) to accurately capture and report on priority ESG metrics including GHG emissions, diversity stats, and social KPIs.
Take on additional projects and duties as needed to support the ESG program.


What Youll Bring
1-2 years of data analysis experience including collating, manipulating, and displaying data to create insights using various data system and visualization tools
1-2 years of experience working in ESG reporting and strategy development
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and software like Metrio
Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD
Project management experience and knowledge of methodologies
Flexibility to adapt to shifting responsibilities
Knowledge of the industrial, construction, and manufacturing industries a plus
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders
Proven ability to successfully drive projects to completion
Ability to distill complex data into meaningful insights for various audiences
