MetroHealth Registered Respiratory Therapist- Respiratory Therapy, Evenings in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: The MetroHealth System

Bi-weekly Hours: 64.00

Shift: 3p-11:30p

$10,000 sign on bonus for RRTs

Patient Care Locations:

  • MetroHealth Main Campus Medical Center – Glick Center

  • MetroHealth Physical Rehab Institute

  • Parma Medical Center

  • Cleveland Heights Medical Center

Patient Populations:

  • Emergency Departments

  • Acute Care Inpatient Specialty Units

  • Adult Intensive Care Units

  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

  • Labor and Delivery

  • Postpartum Care

Primary skills utilized/learned:

  • Invasive and Non-invasive ventilation management

  • Evidence-based patient driven protocol pathways

  • Critical thinking and time management

  • Multi-disciplinary patient care management

Personnel RRT will work with :

  • RNs, LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, Dieticians

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy

  • Possess and maintain an active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)

  • Active Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license from the Ohio Medical Board

  • Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification

  • Reliable transportation to travel to other MetroHealth facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as a RRT in a critical care environment.

  • Extensive experience with mechanical ventilation, airway management, and hemodynamic monitoring

  • Possess a Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA

  • Possess an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) form the AHA
