Description We are in search of a diligent and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Germantown, Tennessee. This role centers around overseeing finance team members, managing financial records, reconciling financial accounts, ensuring compliance, conducting financial analysis, and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the finance team members on a daily basis, ensuring smooth operations and efficiency

• Apply a broad knowledge of advanced accounting methods and procedures to manage financial operations

• Lead ad hoc departmental projects and responsibilities, ensuring timely completion and accuracy

• Manage and maintain precise financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

• Conduct timely and accurate recording of financial transactions to maintain a clear financial overview

• Assist with year-end financial statement audit and tax preparation, including responding to information requests and inquiries

• Oversee the reconciliation of various financial accounts to ensure accuracy and transparency

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues in financial records in a timely manner

• Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and accounting standards to maintain compliance

• Conduct financial analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions

• Analyze and summarize financial data to provide insights for decision-making

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial activities

• Collaborate with cross-function teams, including finance, operations and management to gather relevant financial information and provide companywide recommendations

• Experience with bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with the general ledger and journal entries

• Competency in Microsoft Excel

• Ability to perform month-end close activities

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software

• Experience with month-end journal entries, financials, and reports

• Ability to perform month-end tasks as required

• Prior experience in a Senior Accountant role

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and working under pressure

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) is desirable but not mandatory.
