Requirements
Responsibilities
Administer chemotherapy treatments in accordance with established protocols and policies.
Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or complications during and after chemotherapy administration.
Assess patient's physical and emotional status, and provide appropriate nursing interventions and support.
Monitor and manage chemotherapy drug inventory and ensure proper storage and handling.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately and timely.
Provide patient and family education regarding chemotherapy treatments, side effects, and self-care measures.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patient care decisions.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Qualifications
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemotherapy administration.
Chemotherapy certification (ONS certification) preferred.
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of oncology nursing principles and practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
