About the job:

The APRN - NP Specialty provides acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

This APRN will manager the care of hematology and oncology patients. They will see both inpatient consults as well as patients in clinic and round on patients receiving chemo in the outpatient infusion center.

The primary shift will be Day, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with occasional need to cover other shifts.

What you need:

  • Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program

  • Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio

  • Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred

  • BLS provider certification required

  • ACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments

  • Holds a DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain as required

  • All qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

  • Experience: Minimum of two years recent and relevant nursing experience preferred

  • Effective Communication Skills
