Our client is a well-known multinational snack and food manufacturer and they are looking for a Packaging Development Lead to join their growing team on a 7 month contract. The Packaging Development Lead will be brought on to create, develop, and commercialize packaging initiatives that support core brand growth, efficiency and innovation for the client. This role will be responsible for leading development of 'fit for purpose 'packaging platforms that are designed to maximize desirability/feasibility/viability and also being an influencer for cell core growth and innovation projects. This role also develops detailed packaging specifications to ensure quality materials and best value for money on all packaging components used at the client's facilities, co-packers, and co-manufacturers. responsibilities:

1. Leads development of 'fit for purpose 'packaging platforms that are designed to maximize desirability/feasibility/viability.

2. Strategic Cell Leadership Team member. Influencer for cell core growth and innovation projects. Also responsible for ideating and realizing strategic cell value leadership goals.

3. Develops detailed packaging specifications to ensure quality materials and best value for money on all packaging components used at our facilities, co-packers and co-manufacturers.

4. Initiates, coordinates and executes line trials at appropriate supply locations to confirm that quality attributes and performance metrics are achieved.

5. Manages packaging suppliers to ensure proper execution of projects and recommends/qualifies new ones when appropriate.

6. Coordinates the creation of high-quality prototypes to gauge consumer desirability, influence teams and support customer collaboration.

7. Collaborates with global counterparts to spot opportunities for scale, ensure sharing of best practices and coordination of key activities.

8. Managing and measuring work for themselves as well as T1 and T2 Packaging Engineers on Strategic Cell activities
