Location: West Chester Hospital Department: Inpatient Pharmacy Hours: Full-Time, 40 Hours / Weekly Shift: Varies Shift UC Health is hiring an Infusion IV Pharmacy Technician in our Inpatient Pharmacy at our West Chester Location. Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed by only a registered pharmacist. Education: Minimum Required: High School Diploma, GED Equivalent Preferred Degree: Associate degree License and Certification:

  • Current pharmacy technician registration by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Current certified technician certificate (approved by Ohio BOP)
  • Certified Compounded Sterile Preparation Technician (CSPT) Certification must be obtained within one (1) year of hire/transfer
  • Registration and certification throughout their employment with the UC Health Pharmacy Department.

Years of Experience: Minimum Required: 3 years equivalent experience. Preferred: 5 Years equivalent experience Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision; work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergent requests; exercise sound professional judgment; communicate effectively (orally and in writing); and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by UC Health.
