SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Penn State Health is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to join the Hematology Oncology department and Penn State Cancer Institute. This individual will work in collaboration with other Physicians and APPs within the department in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The APP will be required to work the inpatient hospitalist service caring for both solid tumor patients and bone marrow transplant service and will also assist in the outpatient Infusion Center and Acute Care Clinic. The APP will perform various procedures including bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, skin biopsies, stem cell transplant, and intrathecal chemotherapy. Prior hospitalist medicine experience is preferred but not required. APPs will get to enjoy a flexible work schedule with a very supportive team. Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Master’s degree in Nursing

  • Currently licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by State of employment

  • Two years’ prior experience as a nurse required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
