We're seeking a talented Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable software in Jacksonville, Florida. You'll translate application requirements into functional applications, ensuring top-notch performance, quality, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities:

Bridge the gap between application blueprints and real-world software.

Design, build, and maintain secure, reusable, and dependable Java code.

Optimize applications for peak performance, quality, and user experience.

Identify and solve performance bottlenecks and software bugs.

Collaborate on maintaining code quality, organization, and automation.

You're a perfect fit if you have:

Strong Java expertise with a keen understanding of its ecosystem.

A solid foundation in object-oriented programming principles.

Experience with various design patterns and software architectures.

The ability to create reusable Java libraries.

Experience with Spring/Spring Boot frameworks.

Knowledge of complementary Spring technologies like Spring Data and Spring MVC REST services.

Familiarity with messaging platforms like Kafka or similar technologies.

A grasp of concurrency patterns in Java.

Experience with transactional programming and management.

Skills in securing applications using OpenID or similar technologies.

Experience with both external and embedded databases.

An understanding of fundamental principles for building scalable applications.

Basic knowledge of the Java class loading mechanism.

The ability to design database schemas that align with business processes.

A working understanding of the JVM, including its limitations and workarounds.

Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests with JUnit and Mockito.

Proficiency with Git version control tools.

Familiarity with build tools like Ant, Maven, and Gradle.

Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a software engineering role within the IT Software industry

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and JVM

• Ability to design, code, test, and debug software

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies

• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred

• Familiarity with the full software development life cycle

• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
