JPMorgan Chase Client Onboarding Business Manager - Vice President in Jersey City, New Jersey
Role Title : F&BM Business Manager VP- Client Onboarding and Documentation Operations (CO&D)
CO&D is a cross-functional division consisting of over 3,000 employees across 20+ countries, providing services and products across the Commercial & Investment Bank, Asset Management, Consumer & Community Bank, and Office of the CFO. CO&D is responsible for critical client documentation and is comprised of Documentation Management Operations and Wholesale WKO Operations (WKO), and supported by the Client Experience & Transformation and Controls teams. Streamlining, digitization and consumption of client data and documents in a manner that is standardized, scalable, accessible and controlled is the primary goal of the department, especially through the technology platforms used across these services.
As a Finance & Business Manager in Commercial & Investment Bank for Client Onboarding and Documentation's WKO department, you will work closely with the senior business manager, the business head as well as functional partners and multiple stakeholders. You will support the business in a broad range of areas and this responsibility will involve effective coordination with key stakeholders across the firm to communicate and execute against the business strategy. You will need to establish a large network throughout all functions supporting the business: Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Vendor Management, Business Control, Technology, and others. You will have a strategic mindset and a true desire to fundamentally shape how WKO efforts are delivered across CIB Operations. The Business Management function optimizes business performance by focusing on outcomes, influencing key strategic initiatives and driving execution. We act as trusted advisors to the Business Heads, and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. This role will challenge the candidate to take on a range of strategic projects for our rapidly evolving team.
Job responsibilities
Drive strategies and insights to address top WKO opportunities for the business and inform the overall WKO strategy for CIB Operations, and recommend critical priorities to achieve that strategy
Leverage expertise across Product, Technology and Operations to determine greatest areas of opportunity for acceleration, and scope and structure projects to support it; Advise and influence senior leadership on key business decisions and major change initiatives
Gain deep understanding of end-to-end WKO lifecycle; Perform product and operational analytics to identify improvement opportunities
Develop and operationalize key metrics to measure the current state, define what success looks like in future, and enable strategic solutioning and execution
Responsible for portfolio governance of data and WKO projects including managing the Book of Work, prioritization, staffing, management reporting, dashboards and analytics
Act as trusted advisor to the Business head, and represents the Group in various forums
Manage business performance through the development and execution of business reviews, and senior management governance along with expense/budget management reviews
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
4+ years in program, strategy or advisory experience in a complex and dynamic environment
Demonstrated strategic mindset, analytical abilities, and deep intellectual curiosity
Ability to define and drive a delivery roadmap inclusive of milestone deliveries and the associated status reporting
Ability to work with and act as a liaison between Operations, Product Controllers, Finance, Legal and Senior Executives
Demonstrated ability to deliver executive presentations and messaging to senior and global business heads through excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Identify potential roadblocks and escalate issues as needed
Collaborates with other team members to ensure successful implementation of the WKO strategy
Ability to take ownership of individual pieces of the strategy as needed and continuously stays up to date with developments in the WKO field
Previous product knowledge and/or prior Business Management, COO or Strategy experience
