Summary This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1254000 and is part of the NJJFHQ, National Guard. Responsibilities As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1601-9, you will: Analyzes and resolves a variety of conventional maintenance management problems to improve existing maintenance operations, production, and practices that impact the overall maintenance program. Establishes methods and procedures to ensure maintenance tasks performed meet or exceed established policies and regulations Establishes and monitors the shop safety and health program Monitors the organization's use of automation to properly account for manpower utilization and materials management Requirements Conditions of Employment Areas of Consideration: CAT 3: All current members of the New Jersey Army National Guard Military Grades: E-5 to E-8 Title 32 Dual-Status Positions: Compatible Military Assignments Appointments may require the selected candidate to be assigned to a military unit compatible with the full-time Military Technician (Dual Status) position.
