Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate, document, collaborate, and educate patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in developing and implementing plan of care. Administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more. Will be part of a float pool that will work units in need, assist with admissions, discharges, and support team members as deemed appropriate by leadership.

Principal Accountabilities:

Admission and discharges

• May take an assignment on the floor if needed

• Helping hands throughout hospital

• Examples of items to assist with include but not limited to: wound care., blood transfusions, med pass

• If needs warrant may be put in patient assignment

• Rounds on Unit

• Tracking of shift duties in shared spread sheet

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Nurses will be expected to work a total of 36 hours total a month

• They will need to provide a minimum of 6 hours on a weekend shift

• Hours of focus to work during the week: 3p-11p

• Weekend hours can be at any time

• May sign up for an entire 12 hour shift

• Take part in UBSG for NR

Skill set to include:

• IP documentation

• Autonomy

• Understanding of wounds

• Med pass

• Blood transfusion

Orientation:

• Work with Jen F (Admission RN) for 12 hours

• Wok in IP unit for 6-12 hours on 2nd floor and in either 1S or 1H

Required:

1. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and BLS certification required.

2.Bachelor degree in Nursing or related field preferred

3. ACLS certification preferred
