Overview

The Market Vice President, supporting Arizona and Nevada markets, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is responsible for driving accountability for the Division's revenue cycle operations and performance in Arizona and Nevada and providing insight into National Revenue Cycle leadership. This individual will work directly with our third-party RCM vendor and the market revenue cycle leaders to improve performance and implement operational and strategic objectives by managing market and vendor relationships, monitoring metric performance, identifying revenue optimization opportunities, and advocating CommonSpirit’s revenue cycle position on key decisions. This role will work extensively with Revenue Cycle Operations members, National colleagues, VPs of Revenue Cycle in other markets, and other external vendors with whom CommonSpirit contracts for revenue cycle-related services.

Responsibilities

● Lead revenue cycle performance monitoring and improvement initiatives at the market level to create a high performing revenue cycle across front-end, middle, and back-end functions

● Create visibility and accountability of revenue cycle performance at the market level

● Review and interpret key indicator reports and participate in discussions for corrective actions to be taken by Revenue Cycle Operations in the markets in response to variances and trends

● Assess revenue cycle performance in accordance with goals and objectives set by National

● Allocate and manage the revenue cycle and related net revenue market budgets

● Manage vendor relations and contract coordination with both Revenue Cycle Operations and National Revenue Cycle, and work to ensure that revenue cycle vendors are fulfilling their roles and working in conjunction with CommonSpirit’s mission, vision and values

● Facilitate relationships and break down barriers in conjunction with CommonSpirit and National IT, Revenue Cycle Operations, and preferred vendors

● Serve as a subject matter expert in the interpretation of revenue cycle activities and needs to assure revenue cycle management is an efficient and effective function integrated into critical programs

● Provide revenue cycle subject matter expertise in market specific committees and work groups

Qualifications

Education / Accreditation / Licensure:

● Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration, economics, finance, accounting, or related field is required; MBA or MHA degree is strongly preferred

● Minimum of ten (10) years of directly related financial experience with a minimum of five (5)years of experience in hospital revenue cycle management

● Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience

● Strong financial and operational expertise, with experience leading performance improvement initiatives and/or project management

● Experience managing external vendor relationships

Pay Range

$76.92 - $107.69 /hour
