Honor Community Health is a 501c3 Federally Qualified Health Center co-located within 20 locations. Our mission is to provide for the health and wellness needs of the underserved of Oakland County through the provision of comprehensive, integrated primary, behavioral health, and dental care. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Care Technician at Honor Community Health (HCH) is an essential part of our high-performing healthcare team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Lead Medical Assistant, Practice Manager, or Director of Health Center Operations depending on the worksite location. The Patient Care Technician will provide direct and indirect patient care while assisting clinicians in delivering evidence-based, patient-centered medical care. The Patient Care Technician is also responsible for completing general office duties and patient records, as well as monitoring various clinical processes. The Patient Care Technician will prioritize building and maintaining strong relationships both within HCH's centers and with the administrative team. Working closely with colleagues to foster a culture of excellence and a shared commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare to all. *Productivity numbers are lower, and the scope of practice is narrowed at the Child and Adolescent health centers to balance the shift in responsibilities. *

What are we looking for?

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Graduate of Certified Nurse Assistant or EMT Program, or former experience in the capacity of a nurse assistant, orderly, EMT, or adequate clinical experience as a student nurse.

  • Valid BLS Certification.

  • 1 year experience working as a PCT or similar position.

  • Strong computer skills utilizing-

  • Electronic health record (Nextgen preferred)

  • Microsoft Office

  • A compassionate and positive attitude

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • Ability to create an excellent patient experience

  • Patient focused mindset
