Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented individual to join our team at Dockside Dairy. In this role, you will be responsible for serving delicious ice cream treats and preparing quick eats. Your main goal will be to provide exceptional service and each customer leaves with a delightful experience.

1. Ice Cream Scooping: Skillfully scoop and serve various flavors of ice cream, creating enticing sundaes, cones and other frozen treats.
2. Custom coffee and other beverage creations, combining syrups and flavors to create unique and refreshing beverages.
3. Cooking and preparing food with precision, ensuring they are cooked to perfection and served with desired toppings and condiments.
4. Order taking: Greet customers warmly take their orders accurately, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on ice cream flavor, beverage combinations and food options.
5. Cashier Duties: Operate the cash register efficiently, process payments, and provide correct change to customers. Ability to run end of the night reports and handle cash.
6. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ice cream shop, including serving area, outside area, kitchen and prep area to ensure a safe and inviting environment for customers and employees.
7. Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels of ice cream, syrups, toppings, beverages and other supplies, notifying management when replenishment is needed.
8. Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive customer service, answering questions, resolving concerns and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
9. Upselling and Promotions: Proactively suggest additional items such as toppings, specialty sundaes and combo deals to enhance the customer experience.
10. Food Safety and hygiene: Adhere to all health and safety regulations including proper food handling, storage and sanitation practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

-Prior experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred but not mandatory.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

-Excellent interpersonal skills with friendly and positive attitude.

-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.

-Knowledge of food safety and hygiene and hygiene practices.

-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
