Position Description: Assistant Nurse Manager

BayCare Health System is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to join our outstanding and compassionate Surgical Services team at St. Anthony’s Hospital .

The Assistant Nurse Manager responsibilities include:

• Being proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills.

• Supporting the Nurse Manager in a supervisory capacity while managing team member and patient care issues, ongoing team member performance appraisal and the hiring, counseling and terminating process.

• Acting as a role model for other team members and the communication of organizational information.

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

• ACLS is required

• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred Education:

• Bachelors degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field is required Experience:

• 2 years of RN experience in acute care, post-acute, or sub-acute is required. 1 year of leadership experience is preferred. High acuity ICU, ER, or PACU experience is preferred. Specific Skills:

• Interpersonal skills

• Critical thinking skills
