Description

We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our team located in Vicksburg, Michigan. This role is vital to the financial health of our organization, involving a range of tasks from account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation, to handling general ledger and journal entries. The successful candidate will also be proficient in various software such as Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee account reconciliation and ensure all accounts are accurately balanced.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and rectify any discrepancies found.

• Regularly perform bank reconciliations to keep track of company expenditures and revenues.

• Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

• Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end closing process.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.

• Operate Oracle and SAP software for various accounting functions.

• Develop and implement effective accounting strategies and policies.

• Assist with financial audits and implement recommended changes.

• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve overall company financial goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated knowledge in maintaining General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Oracle software preferable

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of accounting principles and ethical standards.
